To make it easier to install Postgres-XC, we have created a set of RPM packages for Postgres-XC 1.0.1, 1.0.2, and 1.0.3 here:

We will be adding nightly builds shortly, so check back soon.

Backup and recovery in Postgres-XC has some parallels to PostgreSQL, but with its own wrinkles.
